These nights might change.. Preseason is group training prior to grading.

From U11 up, all Junior players are graded, this is a process that can take 2 to 3 weeks , so we only have a short preseason training. If you are playing up a grade you need to be that the appropriate night, but to play up is a Junior DOC decision.The Grading process is done by several coaches.Players are assessed Scored 1 to 5 , over 5 criteria.Right Foot , Left Foot, Speed and Agility, Tactical and Technical and Fitness.

JUNIOR COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

The NEW Junior Director Of Coaching for Burleigh Heads Soccer Club

As new Junior Director of Coaching I wish to firstly say how pleased and excited I am to be doing this job this year and to be playing for the first team also. It’s a great challenge for me and one that I am looking forward to. I would also like to take time to thank First Team Coach Colin Phelan who has helped me in so many ways and also someone that I have learnt so much from since I have arrived in Australia. I hope to improve Burleigh Soccer Club as a whole this season by putting more emphasis and attention on the junior sides by bringing fresh ideas and a new professional outlook to the club. Holiday Clinics will be run at throughout school holidays starting at Easter as well as specialized training sessions for junior teams delivered by myself as well as fun days and first team player interaction with younger teams are just some of the new ideas that I will introduce.

I've been coaching Football for the last 24yrs . I currently hold a state licence, SAQ License, coerver accredited and an Australian Instructors License. My passion is junior development and its a love that has taken me far and wide in pursuit of knowledge and information. The challenge that awaits me at Burleigh is one I'am eager to confront and I'am sure with the help & input from my fellow coaches we together will implement a successful junior development programme .
